@watene_waenga: The urge to want revenge after being hurt is one of the most human things there is. It makes sense that your brain reaches for it…it feels like control, like justice, like finally having some power back. But what research shows us is that every time we replay the wound or imagine getting even, we are quite literally keeping that pain alive inside us, strengthening the very neural pathways we are trying to escape. Real freedom tends to arrive quietly, not with an apology or an act of karma, but in the ordinary moment when you realise their actions no longer have a grip on how you feel. That is not giving up. That is choosing yourself.
