Remember alcohol has no scent what police are smelling is actually the aroma of the impurities, additives, or flavorings mixed with it, such as hops, barley, or grapes. So when an officer says they smell alcohol that is not probable cause to preform any tests to determine whether or not you’re under the influence of any substances that may inhibit your ability to operate a motor vehicle. Always refuse any tests and deny any accusations. Do not speak to them especially after they say they smell alcohol. Let them arrest you and collect your winnings later.
