hairdresser here and the ends have NOTHING to do with the roots lol cutting it has no effect on actual growth. However, if you do not cut it for a very long time, hour ends will split all the way up like a rope and it will look and feel awful but you said you dont care about the science behind it so yeah lmao sorry I had to 😂🥰❤️

I do a big chop every 2-3 years because I get overstimulated by my hair. then I miss my long hair after I cut it and say I will never do it again. and the cycle repeats every time.

Hi Nina. lol I mean this in the kindest way. What about the Native Americans?! They do indeed grow their hair back after cutting. I grew up in a cult that didn't let me cut my hair and now I've cut it and grown it out many times since moving out at 18. But I love the story and thought process. 😂🥰

damn... I cant grow my hair past my shoulders and when I try I just end up cutting it hella short.. it gets ratty.. and I'm impatient.. 🥲😅 now its thin on top and thick in the back.. I'm getting it back tho as I'vetaken steps to thicken it!! but damn I hate this in-between shit and mullet style rn!!

The more I mess with my hair, bleaching/coloring/cutting, the more I notice new growth. I want to be a lowkey girlie, yet I always choose high maintenance hair. Then the weight gives me migraines so I chop it. Lol. And repeat.

I’ve had long hair. I’ve had short hair. I’ve had thick hair. I have thin hair. A couple years ago I chopped all my hair off and it just will not grow now I mean it’s a little bit past my shoulders maybe your length and that’s it and I’ve been growing it out for two years. It’s crazy how slow it grows now.

this isnt true like even kind of. everyone has a certian point thier hair will stop growing. most people are not going to have rapunzel hair 🙄 hair has cycles and once it reaches the last cycle its not going to grow anymore no matter what you do, also hair changes alot over your life time so your hair at the age of 5 is a completely different type of hair than at 24 and then again its completely different at 50

the longest my hair was about 2 maybe 3 months ago now, it was mid thigh. cut it to my lower back. im almost 33 and always had long hair. but I've never dyed or done anything crazy with my hair. and also only really cut it like once every 2 to 3 years hahaha
