I deal with this almost every weekend at my lgs. I play the precon squirreled away. all the guys in every pod get me out first then once im out they all start joking and laughing with each other. I havent been in a pod longer than 4 turns in casual. makes me not want to play anymore.

While I don’t agree with targeting the person in last place for multiple turns, but at the end of the day it is a game, and playing to win the game isn’t a bad thing. If everyone was just passive and let their decks do the thing, the game would never end. I’d rather play multiple games with different decks than 1 six hour long game because no one attacked

how I play mtg type play the deck. no damage is done to life at all. 0. have your fun. but know some decks if not most will take hours. spent an entire weekend with cousin playing his elves back on 2020 covid. spent all of Saturday counting his combos. I had minotaurs. I had at most 200 ish damage. he had over a million. but it was fun. even though I spent most of his setup time just playing halo. hahaha but it was our fin way to play

Hard disagree on this: if targeting a single player is “toxic” or incorrect the player targeting only that player should get punished for doing so and get clapped back by the other players or lack recourses to deal with the other players. If hard focusing one player and removing them doesn’t cause you any loss of tempo or recourses it’s objectively the correct play. If they end up winning then that’s just a skill issue from the rest of the table- and this is coming from the player that’s usually on the receiving end of being targeted
