Don’t tell him he shouldn’t be walking. Don’t make him feel like he’s wrong for that. He was scared of his mom and he didn’t know what to do. That was the best thing he knew to do.

As a teacher, it makes me livid when kids have many unexplained absences because parents don’t want to bring them to school. These kids are so happy at school among kids and activities. Schools don’t do enough to rectify this issue.
