Hey I have family in Cuba and I have to travel there whenever we can to see my sister, the economy there is horrible. In the fruit section of stores there’s apple juice, you wont be able to get fruit in stores the place owns but from 3rd parties, and even then the fruit is incredibly dry, restaurants have been closing down as the scarcity of food has been becoming worse, and its gotten to a point renting an actual car is cheaper than getting gasoline for the car. Power is out for hours if not days on end, in Christmas of 2025 in the place we live they had the lights off till 12AM. so while capitalism is far from perfect, saying communism works in Cuba just isn't true.

I’m not a communist but if it’s such a bad system LEAVE IT ALONE. I’m sick of my tax dollars going to destabilizing countries that our own politicians are convinced will fail on their own anyways. Stick to your word and let it fail, use them as a social experiment to see if it works or not
