@connectedanatomy: The feet are the foundation. the connection to the ground. from there, all begins. Most of us don’t think about our feet until something hurts… a stiff ankle, a wobble, a balance that isn’t what it used to be. It doesnt´end there. Iliosacral pain, tight pelvic floor from dysbalance of intrinsic and extrinsic muscles. The feeling of instability, ungroundedness. It´s never just one area in the body, but we can start supporting that area and move up into the other areas, that help regulating our body on deeper levels. Not just in physcial stability but nerve supply, fluid and pressure regulations... and I am talking about the 7 diaphragms. The foot arches as horizontal layers are on of them these 3 stretches on a block wake up the arches, soften the ankles, bring strength back into muscles we rarely think to use. small movements… steady ground… a body that knows how to hold itself up. just a block. a few minutes. bare feet remembering what they can do. start before you need to. that’s the whole practice🧡 Save this for your next practice and send it to someone who needs this. #osteopath #foundation #feet

I have bone spurs apparently in my big toe joints for all the dancing I’ve done. They don’t even bend back much at all now. I could never bend mine back on a block like that
