I lived on the Southside of Chicago in 1968. We camped in the backyard, rode our bikes to the park and stayed out, till the street lights came on. A simpler place and time........🤔

my mother was 2 and even tho my grandad bought my grandmother a brand new Chevy she rode the L and bus because she was scared to drive 😩 I love to see these videos because I can see what I've always imagined of her growing up in Chicago a very different city that I grew up in but I still love it the same

Yes those was some good old days I lived in 2430 S.State in the Harold L. Ickies Projects , I went to Daniel Hale Williams Elem school behind the Dearborn Homes Projects, then after I grad from 8th grade, I went to Abbott H.S. as a Freshman, then went onto Wendell Phillips H.S. on 39th & Pershing Rd, Grad in 1972 I loved all my childhood memories ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
