I’m from Massachusetts. My Dad was a commercial fisherman after retiring from BFD, his Dad was a merchant marine. Mermaid stories have always been around. Not the cute Disney type either!!

I believe it. There’s another fisherman that was on this app. We’re from Massachusetts and he was being followed by a mermaid/siren in the waters off Martha’s Vineyard. He was documenting it & it stopped. 😳

My dad was in the Coast Guard and worked in Cape Cod and went out for patrols with the guys (he was an officer) and thought they saw one off of Martha’s Vineyard. But in the 70s he did most of his sea duty till like 1985 and saw many between Connecticut up through R. Island to Mass.
