We really are going downhill, and it's sad to think about🤦. To reduce human morality to the base impulses of animals is a profound failure of understanding. Atheism means a world without gods, not a world devoid of reason, compassion, or the pursuit of a better future. To look at nature’s cruelest, most chaotic behaviors and say, "Everything does it, therefore it is permissible," is a lazy fallacy that ignores our capacity to grow beyond our flaws. True progress requires us to rise above blind instinct, to respect the autonomy of others, and to deliberately construct a society built on mutual dignity, not to surrender to the dirt.

morality is subjective and we as a society have deemed 🍇 to be bad because on average it causes lasting damage and suffering to victims, if we were organisms that were wired to enjoy being kild or 🍇ed we wouldnt view either as being a “bad” thing. just because there is no objective “good and evil” doesnt mean we cant come to a general societal consensus of what we define as good and evil

You’re halfway there, every person is entitled to their subjective opinion, doesn’t make it true. This means that no person can objectively state that anything is truly good or bad, because morality is subjective, they can only state their experience with it, that’s also subjective. However, because we live in a society where collective morality is implied, subjectives that are shared among a vast amount of people become “pseudo-objective”, meaning regardless of their universal objectivity they are nonetheless true given the circumstances.

That's correct, for atheists morality is subjective and we cannot say 🍇 is objectively bad. On the other hand; ~99% of theists say 🍇 is objectively good. I'd rather the first one tbh

Morality is a human construct, but we still need it for the society to function. Also morals are mostly based on feelings, empathy etc. That’s why even if I partly agree with you, I’d still say it’s bad.
