So what I was taught is that although we have agency there are only two things that God wants to have "control over". Our birth (circumstances) and our death. I genuinely can't remember exactly where I learned it. It was somewhere through the years when I was studying talks from general authorities. It's not that it's as evil as death or anything like that it's just that the sacredness of it, is greater than we realize. I wasn't taught just how beautiful and sacred those moments are from my parents. I read Elder Holland's talk "Of Souls, Symbols, and Sacraments" before I truly understood it on a level that I do now. I also spent my 20s being wild and making really poor choices that were connected to morality and worth. Also remember that the Lord hold us accountable to the level of the knowledge that we have. I was a survivor of childhood SA that led me to have a very twisted perception of myself and my worth. I was even told during a Bishop's blessing at like 21 that there were going to be choices that I made in my life based on my experience and the way I saw myself that I wasn't truly responsible for/weren't my fault. I didn't understand that but I do in hindsight. So do I think that breaking the loud Chasity is as evil and as dark as taking someone's life? No. But it is on the same level of sacred perspective in the Lord's sight. We have agency in this world but it is up to the Lord to be in charge of our birth and our death.

Sometimes I don’t always agree with your content. Murder is of course the worst. But Chasity has always been second in line.
