@serenity.wellnesspilates: Not every lift of the hips on the reformer is a bridge 👀✨ A true bridge is so much more than just pushing up and down. It’s about articulation, control, sequencing and connection through the body. In a bridge, we want to see: • the pelvis initiate the movement • the spine peel away from the carriage one vertebra at a time • glutes and hamstrings working with the core, not taking over • ribs staying connected rather than flaring • control on both the lift AND the lower What isn’t a bridge? 🚫 throwing the hips up with momentum 🚫 arching straight into the lower back 🚫 losing connection through the core 🚫 collapsing back down without articulation 🚫 gripping through the neck or shoulders Pilates isn’t about making the movement bigger, it’s about making it better. The smallest adjustments can completely change what you feel and where you feel it ✨ This is your reminder that form always comes before speed, range or springs 🤍 #pilates #pilatesinstructor #reformerpilates #serenityandwellnesspilates #matpilates
