The issue is it with Valko as a character, it’s the situation that he was introduced in. First of all, he is the “big bad” behind Ever that funded the company, so quite literally he made all of our other LIs suffer. Also, he had no background or lore implications since the beginning. Mephisto appeared really early to foreshadow Sylus, and Caleb was very obviously there. But Valko had no foreshadowing at all, there was no implications. It makes it so that if LADS ever goes down in popularity, they don’t need to think about how to make the game better, they just shove a new character into the game. It means they don’t need to make lore or good content with our LI, just slop with more characters will do.
