I’m a conductor, and even though I’m customer facing, barely anyone will chat to me. It’s always refreshing when they do and makes days better. So keep it up!

I genuinely have been making a conscious effort to speak to people when im out and about now, its so nice to be nice! The majority of people are happy to chat and it definitely brightens your day

As a Train Driver I can tell you this would have made my day. Believe it or not as a driver you can go hours and even whole shifts without having any interaction with anybody. I manage Drivers now & solitude is a big downside to the role.

as a train driver.. it throws me off SOOOOO hard when people even say thank you. i tbink id lose the ability to converse if someone spoke to me 🤣🤣 id happily converse but it would throw me hard 🤣

Have been driving trains for 12 odd years. Maybe a handful of times a year anyone ever says thankyou. I would cheer up my day just a cheers drive greatly.

I always say thank you to the conductor or train manager to say thank you although the driver did the hard work 😭😂 especially when my ticket is not valid on their route 😂😂
