Inspections inspections inspections!!!!! I cannot say enough how important is to have your own private inspections done that aren’t from the builder!!!! We had ours done our dr Horton home and they have to fix so much stuff it was unreal!!!! We paid a pretty penny for our inspections did it 2x!! Worth every dollar

Just purchased a home 435k we had home inspection and everything, we put every dime we had into getting the house, 3k a month. the day we closed and moved in we found undisclosed mold, leaking pipes, an entire sewer line and plumbing backing up into the house needing 40k in repairs. Total we are at 100k needed in repairs and we dont have it. We also have no where else we can go. Kitchen and both bathrooms are beyond being able to be used. We have 7 kids and our 8th was due yesterday waiting on her arrival. We dont really have much of a recourse due to the laws in AZ. Its gut wrenching

I’m in Florida and I’m always amazed with these new builds that have all the materials sitting outside for weeks unprotected while we have bad storms.

Who the hell pays 500,000.00 for a house? You probably out bid someone to, NEVER give anyone what they are asking for a home. There is ALWAYS something wrong with it!

I worked as a land surveyor for new builds in So Cal. These homes come up FAST, cheap and sometimes the wood they’d bring in was already grey rot or had termites. I would NEVER buy a new build.

Had the same issues with a new build, had to spend over $25,000 to remediate and another $25,000 staying in hotels, buying new furniture and selling the townhome…new builds are junk
