I was diagnosed with IBS in 2007. I started taking Akkermansia about a month ago. (I do take other supplements) but when I tell you I almost feel like I don’t even have it anymore!! 🥰🤝👌

As a veterinarian we do fecal transplants from healthy horses to horses with GI issues… it surprises me how many it’s helped… just on a hunch. I often wonder if human med ever does this. Definitely gross 🤮 but if there are desperate people?

Where is the science studying the gut bacteria of people fed formula as babies vs breast milk? You can’t tell me a formula fed child has the same gut biome as one fed their mothers natural milk with natural probiotics and antibodies.

I have Hashimotos but now at 40 I feel like I am dying every day I wake up in so much pain I can barely move, if I stand too “fast” I get dizzy (and have fully fainted twice), my hands swell and the skin will be tight, I’ve developed linear morphea "en coup de sabre” on my forehead. I’m exhausted on every level, truly I feel like I’m dying before my very eyes.

I have severe RA, high CRP, high calprotectin, etc. Aggressive disease. I have high Akkermansia, low butyrate. Low Akkermansia is not my case and while it is the longevity bug, without enough butyrate you still have big issues.

I have “IBS-D”- but it’s just fast intestine motility/ there’s inflammation. I don’t have SIBO or anything like that. I think it’s just due to chronic stress. I just got akkermansia, I hope it helps!
