the trick is to look at the ends- imagine you're looking "up" through a lid for one direction, "down" onto the top of the lid for the other.

Not with this, the 3 dimensional effect pretty clearly shows the direction. So my brain won’t allow me to see it moving backwards because it’s definitively moving in one direction

for clockwise youre looking at the inside of the cylinder from bottom up. for anti clockwise youre looking at the cylinder top down. the direction will flip automatically. you are welcome
