Starring wife-and-husband duo Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton, the film brought Martha and George to life in a searing adaptation of Edward Albee’s landmark play.   The film would go on to win over a dozen accolades, including Elizabeth’s second Academy Award for Best Actress. It would later be inducted into the National Film Registry and the Online Film & Television Association Awards Hall of Fame.
