I hate seeing this because it’s just been a game of telephone 😭 no, MCR isn’t the reason twilight exists. Stephanie Meyer cited MCR as one of the many bands that helped her write for Jacob’s headspace in new moon (the 2ND twilight book) & wanted MCR to be on the soundtrack. (Along with several other bands!) Gerard Way declined and made the song vampire money as a diss. That’s literally the only connection MCR has to twilight 😭
