If you listen other's playlists they way had been listening to the radio in the past you suould use them as an inspiration. Some songs are intriguing enough to make you wanna listen the album and some not. After you finish an album and you got more intrigued you will have to get into the discography. Then if you end up with no skip albums you should listen to them again otherwise you can do playlists : artist's best of, or genre's playlists or mood playlists. i mean we shouldn't blame playlists - they are good but you have to build them on your own after listening to the albums that contain the songs. Also if we are talking about still active artists that are among our favorites we should listen to every new stuff they do!

A big part of the problem too is contemporary music isn’t made with the album in mind. Back in the day an album was a curated experience where there was cohesion between each song.

Remember concept albums? Ahh. I do. They still exist, but we keep missing them in favor of singles and playlists. A recent banger of an album is Jon Batiste’s World Music Radio. 🥰
