I just did the same thing! Went through and cleaned my huge walk in cantry. I have changed how I will be canning in the future. Lot less for my family but will still can the dog food. They love their homemade food.

I stopped canning a few years ago because of seal failure. I had canned for 30 + years with very little failure. Until 2020. Ball dropped the ball with their lids

A friend of ours said they talked to extension office when they had tomatoes that didn’t seal they said the tomatoes that are grown nowadays are low acidic and need a little bit of lemon juice in each jar

You know in my culture, when we have to throw food away, the heavenly angels, who reside by us; get to eat. And to them it's fresh to them. So you just fed good angels. Mostly little kids.
