Apple is charging roughly 2–3 times the direct manufacturing cost. RAM itself is probably only about $50–70 of the total cost, or around 4–6% of the retail price. They made 112 billion last year and spent another 93 billion on stock buy backs. They don’t work for their customers they work for their investors.

While Steve Jobs was alive, Apple was a company dedicated to selling products that provided an experience. They were committed to design first and profit/sales second. Today, under Cook, Apple is just another corporation trying to squeeze more profit for little in return.
