When the binder is full, deposit it into your checking, open a Roth IRA, contribute as much as you can up to the max for your age group (which is $7500 if you’re under 50) and invest all of it. It will grow over time and once you reach a certain age you can make tax free withdrawals. Cash is fine for emergencies, but at the very least hold it in a HYSA so you’re accruing interest. It’s not doing anything for you in that binder

I start at the back but I also like to put $100 or just extra in general. Like if I got 2 $20s but I got fill 36 I’ll just put the $40 in there instead of specifically putting $36
