@jesoutdoors: 5 good Acadia National Park reminders: 1. Cadillac Mountain requires a timed-entry reservation if you plan to drive to the summit. Book early, sunrise spots sell out quickly. 2. Get to trailheads and parking lots early. Popular areas like Jordan Pond, Sand Beach, Ocean Path, and Beehive fill up fast, especially during summer and fall. 3. Acadia is bigger than it looks on a map. Some areas, like Schoodic Peninsula, are about an hour from the main park loop, so plan your driving time accordingly. 4. Popular trails can close seasonally. For example, Precipice Trail is currently closed due to nesting falcons. 5. Pack layers, even in summer. Coastal weather can change quickly, and Cadillac Mountain, the shoreline, and exposed summits are often much cooler and windier than expected. We got there for sunrise at Cadillac & parked at Jordan pond then took the bus the rest of the day!!! Worked out perfect for us & didn’t have to fight for parking!!
