I would do ceramic coat first, then this. Just to max out the insulation and prevent rust.

This does work. Most cold air intakes stop working because the intake gets hot due to way to high under hood temps. by isolating the temps so they don't escape the exhaust you cold air intake will work efficiently.

For those asking - header wrap is used to keep the heat in the header pipes, this is crucial on a NA engine because heat bleed at the headers results in turbulent exhaust gasses, because heat is transferred from the exhaust gas to the header wall and then into the air., which further in turn reduces exiting gas velocity and hinders cylinder scavenging on the exhaust stroke. It has very little to do with engine heat soak, especially when a true cool air intake is being used.

No sé en autos pero en moto esto no sirve, el motor no termina de liberar los gases calientes y genera una recirculacion, y termina dañando el motor. X algo los ingenieros se desmadraron para hacer las cosas como están, la pólvora ya la inventaron

Утепляют если что из соображений безопасности, коллектор может раскалятся до 600-900 градусов, что может легко поплавить проводку, трубки, резинки, ну вы поняли крч

такое имеет смысл если варишь коллектор с нуля, с хорошей толстостенной трубы. Заводской любой не имеет смысла, потому что он сгорит после этой процедуры за какое-то время

ive never seen such a mindless comment section. where there is power, there will be compromise. who cares if the header will last 8yrs instead of 15yrs, it will help let the engine make way more power while keeping everything under the hood cool.
