I never thought much about personal finance until my parents went through an ugly separation & divorce which started when I was around 18 and didn’t end until I was around 28. Now financial independence is my number 1 priority. I get a lot of comments about not loving my partner because I prepare for the worst. Let me tell you, financial independence has nothing to do with not loving your partner.
