Try going from a relationship to then having to be a friend more than a friend, and then finding out they never wanted a relationship with you you but don't want you to leave because of what you can do for them, but knowing it's more painful to stay, and having to block them and try to move on while acting like you are fighting to keep yourself together, trying to figure out if anything else was a lie.

Yes. I told them I think I needed to talk about something bothering me. He never showed up for the conversation and just ghosted me. A few days later, I tried a soft connection. It never reopened. I’m broken. Not because I have to grieve a future I’ll never get, but I shared myself with him. I told him about all of my past disappointments and he goes to do the same. I’ll forgive him for his own wounds, but I’ll never forget the pain of wondering why he couldn’t save this friendship by just having one talk.
