This backpack didn’t work for my 6th grader. It was awful. Didn’t fit anything and was stuffed to the brim. Then we tried North Face. That was a little better, but too flat. Good old Jan’s Sport did the trick. Much cheaper, didn’t get dirty, held it all

While it is super cute to embroider your small child’s name on their backpack, please first consider how it would make you feel if an adult they have never met (essentially, a stranger) calls out to them or talks to them using their first name.

As a teacher thank you for mentioning washing the backpacks. Some kids bags stink!! Same with lunch boxes.

My kid has used his LL Bean backpack for 4 years and it still looks brand new. It’s probably time to upgrade just because it’s the smaller version.

My son is going into his second “official”preschool year in August. We’re reusing his pottery barn backpack again. It’s been washed numerous times and looks amazing! Totally worth the investment!

My son (going into 8th) needs way too much for most of these backpacks. He still has some books, plus his laptop and caseit. Then water bottle, lunch, etc. and he’s riding his bike so needs to it be sturdy. He uses an LL Bean deluxe size backpack and has since 5th grade. It’s in amazing condition and I assume he will use it through high school if not college.

North face are super cute but did not fit hardly anything my 6th grader needed. Once we put her binder in there her laptop did not fit. Do not recommend at all for the price.
