@techforbaby: Here’s the chicken liver pâté recipe we make at home. I recommend sticking to these proportions for the best flavor. First, soak the liver in cold water for at least 1 hour. Ingredients: • 2 pieces of liver • ½ apple • 1 large carrot • ¼ onion • 2 tablespoons butter You can either steam everything or bake it. * Steam for about 30 minutes. * Bake at 350°F (180°C) for about 25 minutes. Make sure the liver is fully cooked and no longer pink, but don’t overcook it or the pâté will turn out dry. Let everything cool slightly, then blend until smooth. Add 2 tablespoons of butter and season with salt, pepper, or any spices you like. We usually leave it plain. If the mixture is too thick and doesn’t blend well, it probably got a little overcooked. Just add a tiny bit of the cooking juices — only enough to help it blend. The consistency should be thicker than cream, not runny. Pâté goes with just about anything. We usually have it for breakfast spread on bread. It’s one of the easiest ways I get extra protein into Enzo’s diet.
