@tokyo.salaryman.life: Why My Salary Is Low | The Reality of a Tokyo Salaryman - Many people ask why I earn only ¥275,000 ($1,700) a month before tax despite having more than 15 years of work experience. The answer is complicated. In this video, I share the reality behind my Tokyo salaryman life, including anxiety, panic attacks, career setbacks, job changes, and starting over multiple times. While Japan is often seen as a prosperous country, many salarymen struggle with low wages, rising living costs, workplace stress, and mental health challenges. This is my personal story. If you are interested in Japanese work culture, salaryman life, low salaries in Japan, black companies, power harassment, career struggles, mental health, and the reality of living in Tokyo, follow along for more unfiltered stories. #creatorsearchinsights #Tokyo #Japan #Salaryman #WorkCulture

Mate, I understand you 100%. When I was a salaryman in Japan, it’s the first time ever I literally couldn’t feel my legs and couldn’t even walk. The simple idea of going to work was killing me, and led me to a depressive state for some time. I never knew that feeling before.

have you thought about being a factory worker? it’s physically tiring but i think it’s better than mentally draining and if you go to big companies, you can earn 350,000-450,000¥ per month

From Spain: I love the reality of your updates and that you share your real self. Nowadays everything is so fake and it seems like you need to be always perfect, specially in social networks. Everyone shares the ups, nobody shares the downs. Keep strong 💜

If something/someone gives you anxiety or any other emotions other than happiness, then move away from that something/someone.

You create so fine posts that it is difficult to believe what story is behind. Maybe that's why I felt that was for me. Thank you for sharing.

Get checked and get a disability card, your condition may qualify. Your life and employment will be easier in protected class. Even if this does not qualify, I strongly recommend to seek help . We do not control everything about us, sometimes we need help. Best

I quit my job because anxiety, depression and insomnia were killing me. At some point it was just too much. My psychiatrist gave me a push to leave this sick place and i try to pursue my dreams. I’m currently unemployed but I’m trying hard to achieve my dreams and I’ll not go back to regular work until I’m convinced my dream can’t come true
