I'd often would call a friend "baby gurl" but then i thought about it and I asked her if that phrase infantilizing? She said "technically yes, but I know you meant it as a term of endearment". But I have refrained from calling her that

Don’t even get me started with the people that call women “females”! Female is a sex characteristic of all species of animals. I exist in society as a woman, not a female.
