New legislation needs to be created ASAP. If you are caught stealing and you receive EBT your benefit should be revoked immediately. Hopefully this will deter stealing. The same law applies to robbery or basically anytime someone deprives someone or something of their item the result would also be revocation. The revocation is an added penalty and you still go to jail.
