@axefiless: Is there a better firewood than ash? Every time I split a big ash round, I’m reminded why it’s considered one of the best firewoods around. It checks just about every box that matters. 🔥 Great heat output 🪓 Usually splits easily thanks to its straight grain ⏳ Seasons faster than many other hardwoods 🔥 Produces excellent coals for long burns Sure, woods like hickory, oak, and black locust can edge it out in total BTUs, but when you factor in heat value, seasoning time, and ease of processing, ash is hard to beat. For those of us who cut, split, stack, and burn our own firewood, that balance matters. A cord of wood isn’t just measured by how hot it burns—it’s also measured by how much work it takes to get there. So what’s your pick? Is there a better all-around firewood than ash? #woodsplitting #firewood #axe #lumberjack #woodheat
