Most likely, if Pierrot had become obsessed with Columbina (during the time she was alive), the poor girl would have been terrified of him and wouldn't have gone near him at all. If she's already somewhat terrified of Harlequin, with Pierrot it could be the same or even worse. Columbina would stay away from Pierrot at all costs and wouldn't want to be with him in the slightest.
