I totally understand! But at the same time i feel like those two silly episodes were needed. In the third Lestat finally break down, after he tried to stay put together and joke around. Those two episodes were introductory and It was like a façade.

When Daniel thought he got good content and said roll it back and Lestat sitting there like 😐 and him (Lestat) tapping into a line Louie said in his interview with Daniel I lost it 😂 And when Baby Jenks popped up with Bruce… I have to watch the ep again… and I never do that

i feel like ur looking more for the standard the louis set within the series how he decided to tell his perspective of how events went down, they’re sticking true to who this characters are lestat is a MESS so i expected a mess of a story from and it’s a mess with thousands of easter eggs

I think it’s had its footing since episode one personally. I just think it’s different, and it’s so different that folks are stuggling with the transition, not that it’s not on the same caliber. I’m having a great time!

I really like the contrast between seasons 1-2 and Lestats. As it’s of its own title, it feels like a whole new story and since our main narrator has changed, it’s cool that what we’re getting visually is different as well.

I agree in that this episode is my favorite so far. I also got excited that Daniel is the first one asking the deeper meaning to the lyrics in his songs. As this will lead right into any vampire secrets in them and what song/music will be what awakens the Queen of the Damned.

I'm with you. I can be fine with deviation from the book in IWAV. But in VL, they are glossing over soooo much from the book, including Gabs character. And I hate the MTV fast-cut style.

As a book reader TVL and IWAV are different vibe & mood. IWAV was created during Anne Rice depression of losing her daughter. TVL is for her husband. Different feeling for the 2 books

since this is all lestat’s pov then does this mean either louis told lestat he had a contact photo for lemuel or is this just lestat imagining that the same way he imagined daniel and louis convo happening in a restaurant? is this just lestat once again believing that louis doesn’t love him and has a new companion even though we know that’s not the case?
