Not really correct about the siege ladders. Most of the time it was normal wooden ladders. The ladders were hard to push away for defenders because of the angle of the raised ladder, several soldiers scaling the ladder att the same time made it much heavier to move, soldiers on ground supporting the ladder made it very hard for a few soldiers on top of the wall to push away the ladder. Very hard for defenders to move these ladders, not like you see in movies.

If you knew these things existed why not just dig a hole? Like make a 30 food diameter circle ⭕️in front of all the doors?? Obviously 10 feed away so you can walk in and out but not to allow some big structures to walk up
