Join eight women for a transformative weekend from September 11th to the 13th—Friday evening through Sunday lunch—using a method that may surprise you. The method is called AWA (Amherst Writers and Artists), based on the founding principle that everyone is a writer. No prior experience or writing background is necessary—just a willingness to pick up a pen and see what unfolds. As we write in response to prompts, you may find that what emerges is often a delightful surprise. These groups are designed to be non-hierarchical; I will write alongside you. Sharing is always optional. The only feedback offered is positive. I will provide lunch and dinner throughout the weekend, and we will close the retreat after lunch on Sunday, the 13th. My home is about twenty minutes from Logan Airport, and please note that I have two cats—do consider this if you have allergies. Participants will be responsible for their own accommodations, but I will help connect those who want to share lodging. Breakfast will be your own responsibility. The cost for this immersive weekend is one thousand dollars, and space is limited to just eight participants.
