25 years of UK post experience here 👋 Historically in UK broadcast, finished masters usually had programme start at 10:00:00:00, so camera/source tapes avoided using the 10-hour start to prevent confusion with master timecode. In feature film post, reel-based sequences commonly use hour-code to identify the reel: Reel 1 around 01:00:00:00, Reel 2 around 02:00:00:00, and so on
