My father refused to help me fill out my FASFA. Thereby denying me the ability to go to university. So instead I joined the military without telling them and moved to the other side of the country to a place he couldn’t visit without me sponsoring him to get on base. It was the best.

when I was 20 years old I was suffering from a drug addiction and my mom almost loved when I was in that life. she would give me money and just aid in my addiction. when I wanted to move to Michigan to get clean and get my life back. she stopped talking to me and I have gone no contact with her since. she now tells everyone in her life we stopped talking because I was addicted to drugs. I am now 12 years clean and have been no contact with her since. best decision I ever made. ❤️

This is almost exactly my life. Except it was to play music in Los Angeles instead of basketball in Arizona. How dare I move across the country? I did move back and DO have musician children. My plans have never had anything to do with them. The boundaries are thick.
