@island..eyes: One of the hardest things I kept hearing was: “Just accept it. There’s nothing you can do.” I absolutely accept and love my daughter exactly as she is. But I also believe she deserves every opportunity to be healthy, comfortable, and reach her fullest potential. Six weeks into our journey, we’ve personally seen what feels like a dramatic reduction in many of the challenges she was experiencing. She still has an expressive speech delay, and we know every child’s journey is different, but we’ve noticed: 🌞 More words and vocalizations 🪽 More communication attempts 🌞 Better joint attention 🪽 More pointing 🌞 More eye contact and engagement 🪽 More pretend play 🌞 Better imitation 🪽 Faster learning 🌞 Better emotional regulation 🪽 Better sleep 🌞 More confidence 🪽 More curiosity 🌞 More moments where she feels fully present with us. I can’t say exactly what caused these changes. We’ve approached this from multiple angles: 🤍 Supplements 🤍 A gluten-free, dairy-free diet 🤍 Gut health support 🤍 Speech support 🤍 Research 🤍 Working with healthcare providers Could some of this be natural development? Absolutely. But as her mom, I also don’t want to ignore the possibility that addressing underlying medical and nutritional issues has helped her. To me, this has never been about changing who she is. It’s about asking whether there are treatable factors affecting her communication, comfort, learning, and quality of life—and making sure we don’t overlook them. Not medical advice. Not a doctor. Just a mom sharing our family’s experience in hopes that another parent feels empowered to ask questions, explore the research, and advocate for their child. 🤍🌞🪽 #autismmom🧩🧸 #autismspectrumdisorder #autismmomsoftiktok #speechdelayedtoddler #autismmomlife
