@sacramentourbanmedia916: A Florida woman is facing serious child abuse charges after authorities say she brutally assaulted her 2-year-old daughter, leaving the child with life-threatening injuries. According to the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office, 29-year-old Jessica Wilson was arrested and charged with aggravated child abuse and an additional count of child abuse related to an earlier incident. Deputies and paramedics responded to a Gainesville apartment complex Thursday night after receiving a report of an unconscious toddler who was not breathing. Officials say the child had extensive bruising and was rushed to a children’s hospital in critical condition. Investigators learned that Wilson and her daughter had been staying with a friend for several weeks. The friend reportedly began performing CPR after Wilson woke her up and said the child was not breathing. Authorities allege Wilson refused to call 911, prompting the friend to contact emergency services herself while continuing lifesaving efforts. During the investigation, Wilson allegedly admitted she became angry because the toddler was not listening to her. Authorities say she confessed to striking the child with a belt and her fists before stomping on her. The child suffered skull fractures, severe bruising, and possible internal injuries, according to investigators. Doctors placed the toddler in a medically induced coma and performed emergency surgery as her condition worsened. Sheriff Chad Scott described the case as deeply disturbing, saying no child should ever experience such suffering. Authorities recovered two belts from the scene and said the investigation remains ongoing as the child continues fighting for her life.#fyp #viral
