We painted ours in our old house, it looked great for first wee bit then chipped and was a mess. We done all the prep and sealed it etc but chipped so easily and for some reason when we tried to touch up marks the paint didnt look same colour. Not sure if the sun bleached the paint over time or what but was a disaster.
