To everyone here saying that there is AC in shops and public transportation in Germany: you’re right. She probably doesn’t feel that way thought because they’re used differently than in the US where you basically need a winter coat in summer every time you step into a mall.

Don't know under what European rock you live, but most trains, buses, stores, cars etc in Europe have AC. Just not the houses. As we don't want to spend a shedload of money for one week of heat a year🤷🏻♀️

Even we Germans suffer under this heat. It's too much. And most buildings are build for the winter to keep the warmth inside. But problem is, the winters are not that cold anymore but summers are getting more hot days. So buildings get warm and keep it inside. And lost of plazzas are in the sun with mostly no shade, so heating up. Giving the heat in the night, so nothing cools down. In the countryside it's bit cooler and in the forests. So if u can get out of the city.
