I have only one choice for cable internet. So how am I incentivizing anything by choosing the one and only choice? What's my other choice, not have Internet?

Some things are just not worth it. Sometimes it’s not a problem with capitalism. Sometimes it’s simply the material reality that the extra effort something’s require to be better, can not be worth that cost. Fundamental to simple fact that things require effort

What can we do then? :( This feels to me like the reason boycotts rarely work, but boycotting is the only thing people talk about as the solution for changing things.

Effectiveness is a useless term without defining: ‘effective at what?’. Sure enshtification is “more effective” at separating workers from their wages, but why are we defining success as selling inadequate products to underpaid workers? Why not define success as human flourishing?, in which case the shitty airline pretzels are very ineffective. It seems like you’re capitulating to a capitalist framing on what is and isn’t ‘effective’ that is completely divorced from that is and isn’t good for people.
