I knew. I spent almost a year telling my pcp something wasn’t right and he kept brushing it off. Found out by going to ER that I have CML. It’s crazy how dismissive some drs are.

Off topic but I have to get this off my chest.I sometimes feel less than because I only have fibromyalgia and not something more serious.but the pain I feel is more than I can handle,it feels worse than the word fibromyalgia.I’ve seen so many doctors and I do osteoarthritis and osteoporosis but they down play how pain it feels how fibro feels,it’s so upsetting and frustrating even family make me feel like what I have is nothing serious so why complain about it….

I have many problems an have been dismissed so much by doctors and specialists, I keep getting rejected from rhuemotologists trying to get a diagnosis of anything other than fibromyalgia that I have already been diagnosed! I have had endo and adenomyosis now removed uterus and 5 endo removal including both ovary’s and I am still suffering with chronic pain

I have painfulllll heavy periods and no birth control helps - my gynae dr said there’s no point in mri as if endometriosis it won’t show and no point in surgery to see if it’s endometriosis because there’s no treatment for it 😳 so still in pain and struggling on.

I’ve been in pain since I was a child. They made me feel like I was crazy. Years of seeking help. Years of physical therapy. Turns out I have a genetic neurological disease called SCA27b. I didn’t get help until I was 42 and barely able to walk. The system made it so that I have lost functions that I shouldn’t have if I would have earlier interventions.

I'm glad i didn't give up on myself.. so many dr.. so many time and money wasted... finally i get the answer that i wanted... to anyone else... don't give up.. find the dr that listened,be ready before appointment

Years of hearing “it’s all in your head” and “you look fine” was horrendous… one doctor actually listened and finally a diagnosis of fibromyalgia,epilepsy amongst others…. All because my now new doctor actually listened and believed..

This is so true. Doctors wait forever to diagnose something when you knew from the beginning. Then you’re a guinea pig because they don’t know what to do with you. It’s really disheartening.
