@angandthesprinter: After buying my Sprinter I've realised the hardest part isn't the build... it's choosing the layout 😅 Which one would you choose if this was your home? Be honest 👇 #vanlife #sprinter #vanconversion #DIY #campervan
1. I have lived in an rv for 5 yrs. The shower is worth it. You will be in places with no shower or rest rooms! Happy trails!

The shower becomes storage just opt for no shower and have more built in storage.

If nobody’s told you yet! WELCOME TO VANLIFE! My pick is 4: you can get to the drivers seat without leaving (safety) still has everything. Shower can be temporary storage when not in use. But trust me you want that shower 😂 or I do at least. Remember it’s about the adventure. You’ll spend a lot of time outside. Enjoy the adventures

I think 3 or 4 BUT if you’ve got a national gym membership you could do the no shower option I guess. Still I think being self sufficient is better.

Not your business :
As pretty as they are I couldn’t settle without being able to get to the drivers seat without having to go out side from a security point of view! What if someone’s trying to get in and you can’t drive away cos you need to go outside the van to access the drivers seat!

#4 you need shower/toilet more than a large kitchen. 👍

1 for me. Having the shower is a major plus. Having the hob not near the bed means no splash marks from cooking on your bedding.

Depends on your lifestyle/ where you’ll be parking up! Your water tank won’t last long showering most days, I’d go for layout 2 and have an outside shower fitted to your back door for when you’re remote / use sites & public showers when you can!

2. I would not want to deal with a lot of gray water or the space a shower takes up. I plan on an outdoor shower and to mainly take showers other places.

A shower cubicle is a lot of work compared to other items. But it will double up as a potty cupboard and storage space when on the move.
Always going to depend on drainage access under the vehicle. I have 3 drains in my shower, that way don't get issues with site level

2 is most practical. Just get a planet fitness membership and shower there

Pic 1 but a way to make It to the driving seat without having to go out -for security.
Even If it's a small window that opens. Just to know I could get through in case of an emergency.
