Hey you can do you but I do not recommend washing it because it fades faster. Just wait for it to dry and it will start peeling and it’ll last you a lot longer.

sharpie can also take away some of the staining. wipe the area you want to do with henna with alcohol and let it dry, trace with the henna cone. you can very lightly put it on your skin to the point where it doesn’t stain. then go over it how you’d like it. let it dry and let it crack and fall off on its on. washing off doesn’t let the stain settle and it will come off easier. wait 24 hours before letting water touch it to keep it on even longer. reason why you don’t want to wash it off is because henna activates with water, you should reactive the henna that’s already dried. i’ve done henna for 3 years and that’s what i’ve learned! also the thicker the lines the darker the stain!
