I'm a hairstylist, so I use color theory almost every day and it still blows my mind. I love color theory

Can't believe I've never seen it explained this clearly and concisely in all my years. Excellent explanation!

I’m gonna be honest with you. I saw those squares and almost blocked you (traumatic color theory experience) 😭 but your mixes were too good.

I love that you used the grey scale! That’s how I explain tone to ppl who aren’t artsy, like my husband when we’re choosing paint. Another trick is to squint and see if the colors melt together or stand out.

Im a beginner and I can’t seem to understand what’s the difference between paint something using these 3 things you explained and paint using color theory like. If I were to paint an apple with the chromatic wheel, I learned that I can paint the first layer of the apple green bc is the complementary color so that makes the shade pop, and then I can use like yellow to make the light spots and paint red on top of the green to give it a realistic look. My question is: we have a way for a type of painting and another way for another type? Or we use both together? Sorry the long question is that I’ve been trying to understand this for soooo long and I don’t think I even know how to explain my doubt properly lmao (English is not my first language so it gets harder)
