I heard an amazing Christian women use this reasoning and the verse made so much sense to me. She brought up that when Paul said women should not be a pastor/head of a church, he tied it back to Creation, just like when Jesus said marriage was between one man and one woman and He tied it back to Creation. It doesn't make sense for Paul to tie it back to Creation if it was just that specific church/situation.

Everyone uses the “well Paul said that, not Jesus” excuse for when they don’t agree with something. My next question is usually “Do you believe the whole Bible is God breathed?” When they say, yes… and I just stare at them, and it still doesn’t click. Lol

YES! Spreading the gospel and leading a church are NOT THE SAME THING! We are ALL called to spread the gospel, very few are called to lead a church.

So good! The “Did God really say?” question has been the devils biggest tactic since the beginning!

👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 amen! Love this. When Paul talks about the qualifications of a pastor/bishop, it’s pretty hard to be the husband of one wife when you aren’t a male 🥴 1 Tim 3:2

Paul: “Let a woman learn…”
Instead of permanently silencing women, Paul first insists they become educated. A major debate centers on the Greek verb authentein, translated “exercise authority.”
This word is extremely rare. Some scholars argue it means:
“to domineer,”
“to usurp authority,”
“to seize authority” rather than simply “have authority.” That pesky original Greek language again

Spreading the Gospel is not limited to pastors. That’s every Christian’s task.

Thank you, sis! I come from a background where women ministers hunky dory. But reading the Word, especially the pastoral epistles, I find it difficult to see where a female pastor is scriptural.

I'm absolutely positive that God can call WHOEVER HE WANTS to lead churches and be Pastors. Why are we limiting God???
So YOU were not called to Pastor as a woman. That does not mean no woman is called.

We have a sister preach when our pastor is unavailable. She is scripturally correct in her message so who cares.
