My husband has never understood why I don’t want our kids to have access to tech like that! My oldest is for and keeps asking me for a tablet lol. Like nah homie I’m sorry, but also not sorry. On the flipside my husband is afraid he’ll be made fun of for not having those things. We’re damned if we do and damned if we don’t!

As someone who has been trying to find the balance between technology and toys, I hate the iPad because something in it makes it addictive. I switched it for the Amazon Kids Fire Tablet, disabled internet access, and put parental permissions for downloading anything. My kiddo only uses it to occasionally play with it when he’s cranky. Otherwise, he prefers playing with his toys, going outside, and watching movies on the tv(usually in the background).
